Week 9 Post 2

I used the hashtags BrewTeaFul and Cuppa for my posts. I used BrewTeaFul since it's my business name and I used cuppa since it's a very common slang by people who drink tea. I found these hashtags based on my own knowledge of tea and from other tea businesses. I added posts around the morning in California 10am since it's a typical time for many to have tea and also it's in the evening for the UK where people are just coming off work. What I learned is the hashtags and the timings are very important to ensure your posts have maximum reach.

  1. Hi! Not to be a jerk, but are you using any hashtags that are popular? When you are writing an Instagram caption, typing "#" will bring up a list of popular hashtags. I think you will find that method will get you connected to more tea-lovers. And be imaginative, too, like try "coffee shop" or "cafe" stuff like that. I don't know if its better to use a hashtag that has millions of prior uses or thousands, but one would have to promote the heck out of hashtag, like "#McDonalds" that would only apply to a particular brand, ya?
